• At 38 weeks pregnant, Kendra says she has a boost of energy and has used that to accomplish necessary tasks before Addison arrives. The youngest Duggar siblings come over to help Joe and Kendra clean and move furniture. The kids also end up devouring Kendra’s fresh biscuits.
• “Sometimes when you have little helpers, they do create sometimes more of a mess than actually helping,” says Kendra, laughing, although she admits to feeling a lot more ready after having help from the siblings.
• “Having your second child, it’s a little bit more work, but it’s manageable,” says Jim Bob. “When you have three, then you’re outnumbered. And then when you have four our five, it starts getting a little busier. And then eventually those little ones get old enough to help out, and it kind of levels out a little bit.”
• The Seewalds take Henry, almost three years old, back to the speech therapist for a follow-up evaluation. The therapist determines that Henry has caught up and is doing well.
• In Los Angeles, Felicity tries out her new scooter. “Felicity’s very adventurous, loves trying new things,” says Jeremy. Later, Jeremy receives a skateboarding lesson from famous skateboarder Brian Sumner. Both guys are Christians and experienced a major life transformation when they came to know the Lord.
• “I had a similar darkness in my life, where I was consumed with playing soccer, but I was also living a life that wasn’t honoring to Christ.” says Jeremy. “I ended up getting arrested. I was drinking, I was partying in college, just being a foolish young guy. And it was really that night, when I got arrested, out late at night, 3:00 in the morning, I realized I can’t live like this and call myself a Christian. And that was the turning point for me, where, from that point forward, I made the decision, ‘I’m going to actively serve Christ with my life.’”
• Five days before her due date, Kendra starts having significant contractions and is about four centimeters dilated. At bedtime, she and Joe drop Garrett off at the Caldwell house. They return home and end up going to the hospital at 1am. Kendra is unsure about going and does not want to interrupt anyone’s sleep, but Joe insists that it’s time.
• When she is admitted, Kendra is still only four centimeters dilated, so she and Joe walk the halls. Before too long, her water breaks, and her mom arrives. She feels the need to push, but her doctor is delivering another baby at another hospital. The nurses tell her to wait, but when Kendra says she doesn’t care if the doctor is present, the nurses decide to go ahead with the delivery. Addison Renee Duggar arrives at 5:33am on November 2nd, weighing 7 lbs 12 oz.
• Later that morning, other family members, including Garrett, come by the hospital to meet the new addition.
